Wesley is located in the inner city of Savannah, Georgia where poverty-related issues run rampant. The majority of the people living in this area endure poverty, crime, domestic violence, substandard housing, and a lack of neighborhood cohesion. Wesley works to help people exit poverty and become self-sufficient. Wesley is not a hand out, but rather a hand up. Wesley mandates that parents and guardians of children who attend the Early Childhood Education and Development Center either work or attend school.
